Very elegant restaurant located on the second floor of the Pan Pacific Hotel. Service was very good and attentive. For starters I ordered the tiger king prawns. It was cooked perfectly and the sauce was full of flavour. For mains ordered the prawn and squid noodles. This was also very tasty and the seafood tasted fresh. Finally for dessert I ordered the apple crumble which was my favourite course. 100% recommend coming to this restaurant which is often overlooked by tourists.

We thoroughly enjoy afternoon tea experiences in London and have indulged in at least 20 different ones. Among them, this particular experience stands out as one of the most memorable. Instead of the usual finger sandwiches, they offer a delightful selection of Asian cuisine such as egg rolls, dim sum, and baos. While you still have the option for Traditional Tea, it would be a missed opportunity not to explore their unique offerings. If you find yourself hungry, don't hesitate to ask for a refill – we certainly did! The desserts are equally impressive, with everything tasting fantastic. The service is just right: attentive without being overwhelming. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

Straits Kitchen - Sunday Roast Dinner Review My family and I recently visited Straits Kitchen for their Sunday roast dinner, and we were absolutely impressed—not just by the food, but by the exceptional service that truly made our experience special. From the moment we arrived, the attention to detail was evident. The hospitality started right at the hotel concierge and continued seamlessly into the restaurant. The entire team, from the manager to the waiters, went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful time. As a parent with a baby in tow, I was touched by how considerate they were without me even having to ask. One standout moment was when the manager noticed I was feeding my baby as our food arrived and offered to keep my meal warm until I was ready. It’s thoughtful gestures like these that elevate a dining experience. The food itself was delightful, with just the right balance of flavors. The roast was perfectly cooked, and each dish was beautifully prepared and presented. The only small note was that the gravy was a touch salty for my taste, but that might come down to personal preference. As we don’t often travel to London for dining, this visit was truly worth the trip. It was a great way to kick off the festive season with my family, and we left feeling both full and cared for. Thank you to the entire Straits Kitchen team for making it such a memorable evening! Would definitely recommend!

Pan-Asian Experience menu inside Pan Pacific hotel . If you are a fan of Pan Asian cuisine, then this experience is for you. Situated inside the beautiful Pan Pacific hotel, The Straits kitchen offers the following Experience Menu: . Scottish Miso Salmon Chicken Satay Skewer Steamed Prawn and Chive Dumplings Hereford Beef Short Rib or Peking style Duck Gula Melaka Creme Brulee. . The short rib and duck definitely stole the show for me, but everything was amazing including the service and wine pairing. You get one glass of Prosecco and three glasses of wine including dessert wine. To finish the perfect evening we stopped at the hotel's Ginger Lily Bar for some amazing cocktails. . Location: Shoreditch Closest station: Liverpool Street Station Price: 65pp for five plates, 35pp wine pairing Cocktails around 15 at Ginger Lily bar

Very nice setting for a family Sunday roast lunch, and great value. Bonus of live music, rare for London. The food quality is excellent. Oysters starter 10/10. I tried the 'char siu' style pork belly which sounds like a strange choice for a traditional Sunday roast but is delicious. Yorkshires, roasties and veg all done perfectly. The venue is also dog friendly, another bonus. Negative: Our first waiter did not offer the complimentary champagne which is a stated part of the Sunday lunch package and is one of the main selling points, and even after asking, he seemed to treat it as if it was an unreasonable demand. Seemed like he didn't really want to serve our group. Luckily a 2nd member of staff took over - George - who was much better was a lot more helpful and saved the day. Overall a very nice hotel and really good quality Sunday roast. Look forward to going again.

Festive 4 Course Set Menu was wonderful. Compliments to the chef. Snow crab melts in your mouth, Peking duck was premium quality, sauce to the steak was magical, rice was special. Ambiance was perfect. Service great (thank you Siddhesh). Drinks enjoyable. Few minutes walk from Liverpool Street station. I had a fantastic evening

We booked to stay at Pan Pacific to celebrate a graduation, and we had a great experience. The food at Straits Kitchen was superb. One of us is vegetarian and felt like there were plenty of options to satiate hunger! The pork cheek starter was superb, soft beyond belief and with such flavour. The main course of duck and pancakes was nostalgic for me, nodding back to when I would enjoy a Chinese meal with my family...though this duck was far tastier than the Golden Dragon ever was! My chocolate dessert with tonka bean ice cream capped the meal perfectly and went down nicely with our bottle of choice, St Emilion - fairly priced too. I look forward to returning one weekend.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Straits Kitchen with two of my closest friend, and I can't recommend it enough! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The decor is stylish yet cozy, with soft lighting that creates a perfect ambiance for both casual meals and special occasions. The service was exceptional. Our server Alex was attentive and knowledgeable, offering great recommendations and ensuring we felt taken care of throughout the meal. The menu was diverse, offering something for everyone. I opted for Beetroot and walnuts salad , and it exceeded all my expectations, beautifully presented and bursting with flavour. The ingredients were fresh, and the balance of flavours was perfect. The drinks menu was also impressive, with a range of cocktails and an extensive wine list that complemented the food perfectly. I was especially impressed when the General Manager I think her name was Genesi came by to personally check in on us. It’s clear that she truly values customer satisfaction and takes pride in ensuring everything runs smoothly. Her thoughtful touch made the experience even more enjoyable.Overall, Straits Kitchen offers a wonderful dining experience with outstanding food, top-notch service, and a fantastic atmosphere. I will definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to eat.
